Chapter 3.04 is the fifth chapter of Volume 3.
Synopsis
Ryoka brings Ivolethe downstairs to introduce her to Erin, which causes a big disturbance in the Frenzied Hare. Ivolethe bites one of the bystanders who dares to touch her, then luxuriates in a potato soup while Erin and Ryoka talk both with each other and her. In the end, Ivolethe tells them magical stories from Earth's past, mostly about King Arthur.
The next day, Ryoka visits the Runner's Guild again, where she finds that Persua is leaving for the North and has a party that Ryoka didn't know about. She confronts Ryoka, trying to rub in her superiority. That fails and the two girls spit a few rounds of insults against each other. As Ryoka is on the verge of leaving, Ivolethe shows that she has taken offense and attacks Persua, only to then be held hostage by one of the runners. They debate whether they should sell the Fairie to [Alchemists] for parts, to a [Merchant] or demand all of Ryoka's belongings to set Ivolethe free. Ryoka makes a [Flashbang] spell and assaults Persua when Ivolethe is free. Persua then swears a dire oath of vengeance against Ryoka, promising to see her raped and killed.
In the aftermath of that confrontation, the Frost Faeries collapse the evacuated Runner's Guild with an avalanche, and Ryoka gets a temporary ban from both the Guild and the city. Outside, Ryoka talks with Ivolethe once more about her dream to run like the wind, and Ivolethe offers to teach her, in exchange for friendship.
