Synopsis[]

Erin is with Drassi in Celum waking the best local blacksmith. She’s buying weapons while Drassi provides social lubricant. Erin is aware of 'being handled' by Drassi.

The hobs are working on Plan G: making a cave situated a few miles away but leading into the dungeon hospitable by goblin standards. Numbtongue catches them up on last night’s events. He and Rabbiteater also brought material for a crude door and a mana stone. As the cave goblins and other hobs appreciate Numbtongue’s and Headscratcher’s new classes, Erin and Drassi enter via magical door, with swords and bow and potions in tow. These are the fee Erin will pay for the rescue of Mrsha and Ceria. She begs the hobs, and they agree. They enter the dungeon with three cave goblins as guides.

In the dungeon the hobs are at first skeptical regarding the cave goblins’ loyalty. But as they realise that these goblins can’t see the dungeon’s monsters, and vice versa, they are mollified. Their path leads them past the mile deep Face-Eater Moth nest and various occupied, trapped, and empty rooms before they find a Raskghar outpost with two dozen Raskghar. At first they want to pass by unnoticed, but then the Raskghar’s cruel treatment of ‘their’ enslaved cave goblins spurs the hobs to remember they are Redfang and attack. It turns into a slaughter, and after dozens of Cave Goblins join the hobs.

Meanwhile in the cave Erin sends Drassi to get more provisions and ingredients to feed the cave goblins left behind there. Drassi is reluctant, but complies. Erin is eyed with suspicion by the goblins, and herself internally conflicted about them, then a group among them even attacks her. She decks the offending cave goblin, and after some misunderstanding starts cooking for the cave goblins, gradually earning their trust.

Lyonette caught on on that Drassi and Erin are doing something with the hobs, and is fine with it as long as it’ll bring Mrsha back. She convinces Drassi to head together into Liscor for groceries. There Lism is raising a mob, verbally attacks Lyonette, and in response gets a tonguelashing from Drassi as she’s setting things straight.

At the cave Erin continues cooking for and feeding the cave goblins. They are enthralled and growing ever more numerous. Soon enough the hobs return to the cave, finding proceeding with the constantly following freed cave goblins too difficult and dangerous. While the hobs weren’t able to locate the Mrsha or the Raskghar camp itself, among their freed cave goblins are some who do know its current location. Erin immediately opens the door to her inn and informs the gold-ranks gathered there.

Badarrow and Shorthilt leveled and evolved their classes, to [Sniper] and [Weapon Expert] respectively. Now Rabbiteater is the only one of the remaining 5 Redfang warriors without an evolved class.
