Thomas Trautmann, or Tom, is one of the sixty Earthers who was transported to the Blighted Kingdom, summoned by the Blighted King.

Appearance[]

Describes himself as a white American, slightly overweight and as bland as you can be. He's lost sixty pounds since levelling up as a [Hero].

His brown hair is dyed red. His face is painted white with black eyeshadow, blue tears on his cheeks, and a red smile.[1]

He wears a bright costume with white gloves made by the Blighted Kingdom's tailors, which is frequently stained with blood. It's a baggy yellow outfit that turns blue at a diagonal cut halfway down his midriff, and his gloves have fine red stitchings made to look like the howling faces of various species.[1]

Personality[]

Tom’s personality was once personable and lighthearted. When he and the rest of the first Rhir group were summoned he attempted to help strengthen morale by dressing up as a clown. While decently funny he slowly began to break down as the hopelessness of the situation dawned on him, suffering from depression, especially due to the widening gap between him and the other earthers Tom would finally break and go insane when the demons launched an attack on the village he resided in.

After the incident Tom would begin slipping further & further into mani insanity and gained a penchant for self harm. Fully breaking after the Fool’s betrayal he would lose any remnants of his old self. Becoming a fully insane bloodthirsty killer, Tom would also gain a split personality he refers to as Other Tom.

Tom now views everything in a cynical sense of comedy. But is always ready to grow deathly serious in a moment and retains fragments of his former personality.

Background[]

Tom was summoned by the Blighted King with 60 other people close to his age, expecting them to fight against the Demon Kingdom. Tom, like the others, is not a powerful warrior, as the King initially believed. When the King sent them out with his soldiers to fight, he, like the others, was totally overwhelmed, and only survived with around 20 others out of sheer luck, and due to the soldiers, who sacrificed themselves for them. The King, noticing their uselessness, sent him, and what was left of the group, to garrison Karaz, a village on the outskirts, thinking that they won't cause any trouble there.

Several decided to fight and keep the people safe, some helped out in other ways, like cooking, tailoring. Tom on the other hand, dressed up as a clown. He hoped he could bring the people from his group and the villagers to smile, distracting them from the misery in their lives; unfortunately he is very bad at it, though. Nevertheless, he tried to stay with it, even when constantly less people come to his little shows and think that something is wrong with him. When he gained The [Clown] class at night his passive skill [Entrance of the Gladiators], which plays Circus music activates, waking up and further drives a rift between him and the other earthers when they desperately need their sleep.
